Trade Adjustment Assistance

The Trade Adjustment Assistance program (TAA) emphasizes an assortment of comprehensive, timely retraining and reemployment services tailored to meet the needs of the individual worker.

Once a petition has been filed and the U.S. Department of Labor has certified eligibility, workers are eligible to apply for a variety of benefits. Workers must meet individual training approval criteria to qualify for training. All benefits have different time constraints. Therefore, workers must file the appropriate application for the benefit in a timely manner.

For additional information about TAA, please visit the U.S. Department of Labor Employment & Training Administration web site at http://www.doleta.gov/tradeact/petitions.cfm#1
